Full Unit-wise Syllabus
List of Experiments
- Remote Sensing Exercises
- Preparation of base map using Survey of India toposheets and familiarization with satellite data products
- Image interpretation and preparation of Land Use / Land Cover (LULC) map using satellite data
- Spectral measurements using spectroradiometer and analysis for water, soil, and vegetation Photogrammetry Exercises
- Stereovision and photo interpretation using stereogram card and mirror stereoscope
- Determination of height and scale using parallax bar and vertical photographs
- Generation of Digital Terrain Model (DTM), contour mapping, and orthophoto generation
Activities: 1. Preparation of base map and satellite data interpretation to generate Land Use / Land Cover (LULC) maps for applications in urban planning and environmental management. 2. Stereovision analysis and parallax-based height determination to develop Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and contours for terrain analysis and infrastructure planning. 3. Digital photogrammetry processing for orthophoto generation and planimetric mapping for applications in cadastral mapping and GIS database development.
Course Outcomes (COs)
- CO1: Apply remote sensing techniques to interpret satellite data and generate Land Use / Land Cover (LULC) mapping.
- CO2: Analyze aerial photographs for terrain modeling and height determination.
- CO3: Use photogrammetry tools for orthophoto and planimetric map generation.
Assessment Pattern (Quick Note)
- Weightage: Continuous Assessment 60% | End Semester Examinations 40%
- Internal methodology: Project (30%), Assignment (10%), Practical (30%), Internal Examinations (30%)
