Full Unit-wise Syllabus

List of Experiments

  • CAD Fundamentals CAD interface, coordinate systems, units, layers, basic draw and modify commands, annotation and dimensioning.
  • Building Components Drawing of walls, doors, windows, staircases, columns, lintels, roof truss (wood and steel) and other standard components.
  • Single-Storied Building Drawing Preparation of 2D plan, elevation, and sectional view of a residential building.
  • Multi-Storied Building Drawing Preparation of plans, elevations, and sections for multi-storied buildings with circulation and zoning.
  • 3D Modelling, Rendering Isometric drawings, 3D modelling, rendering, layout preparation, and plotting.

Activities: 1: Prepare a 2D drawing using standard layers, dimensions, and annotations. 2: Create a detailed drawing sheet of standard building components as per specifications. 3: Develop complete drawings (plan, elevation, section) for a single-storied house. 4: Prepare multi-storey building drawings with staircases and structural details. 5: Create a 3D model with rendering and present drawings with titleblocks.

Course Outcomes (COs)

  • CO1: Apply CAD tools and commands for drafting basic engineering and building components with proper standards and conventions.
  • CO2: Prepare detailed 2D drawings including plans, elevations, and sectional views for single and multi-storeyed buildings.
  • CO3: Develop 3D building models, renderings, and plot layouts for effective visualization and presentation of engineering drawings.

Assessment Pattern (Quick Note)

  • Weightage: Continuous Assessment 60% | End Semester Examinations 40%
