Course Objectives
- To Apply the basic circuit solving techniques for both AC and DC circuits.
- To know the applications of various network theorems, transient analysis. Resonance, two port networks and Three phase circuits.

List of Experiments
- Determination of sinusoidal current response for a series RL, RLC network in steady state for sinusoidal input voltage excitation using phasor concepts (impedances).
- Application and experimental verification of network theorems (Thevenin’s, Norton’s, Superposition, Maximum Power Transfer and Reciprocity theorem).
- Circuit Transient and steady state analysis: Determination of time constant of series RL, RC circuits. b. Determination of frequency response of RLC circuits. c. Steady state analysis of series RL, RC and RLC circuits.
- Determination of resonant frequency and bandwidth for Series and Parallel resonant circuits.
- Determination of impedance, admittance, transmission and hybrid parameters for two port networks.
- Determination of power in a three phase balanced and unbalanced circuits.
Course Outcomes (COs)
- CO1: Apply phasor concepts and analyze steady state response of RL, RC and RLC circuits for sinusoidal excitation.
- CO2: Verify network theorems and analyze transient steady state and frequency response characteristics of electrical circuits experimentally.
- CO3: Determine resonance characteristics, two port network parameters and power in three phase balanced and unbalanced circuits.
